Welcome to the website of ITF Royal Dutch

BestuurOn behalf of my fellow board members and myself, I would like to welcome you to the website of the ITF Royal Dutch foundation. ITF Royal Dutch focuses itself on groups that practice or intend to practice the ITF Taekwon-Do, so as the founder of Taekwon-Do, late General Choi Hong Hi, had developed. Therefore we are also affiliated with the ITF world organization of his son, Grand Master Choi, Jung Hwa, and so we follow our vision and goals through a proactive policy to pursue the techniques and mental ideas as used by the ITF world organization.

One of the aims of ITF Royal Dutch is that we adequately and rapidly make the effort to the various groups which are directly or indirectly connected with us. That every practitioner of this inspiring art continues to develop on both the mental and physical level, no matter of his or her age and graduation. Therefore, we are concerned with developing, implementing and evaluating training courses, seminars and courses which, depending on the individual needs of the pupils, the emphasis will be on further developing one or more skills of the ITF Taekwon-Do (knowledge, skills and attitude). Furthermore we thoroughly prepare and train people to take for example a degree-exam or to become a teacher, or we prepare them for taking part in competitions (up to world level). This ties in with other efforts of ITF Royal Dutch: being an intermediate, a bridge between individuals, unions, foundations and schools with the aims to promote ITF, based on a respectful manner with mutual trust. The first inspiring training of the ITF Royal Dutch which was held on January 31, 2010 is one example.

Hard work, adequate information, trust and respect for each other as well the training of good and motivated teachers with a character which follow the ‘’tenets’’ of Taekwon-Do which will be of great importance to guarantee the continuity of ITF Royal Dutch. Also to be able to continue the guarantee to obtain new challenging insights and inspiring training, seminars and workshops as part of the ITF Taekwon-Do.
I would like to emphasise that we in this form of organisation can handle information and the wishes of the member schools and organizations rapidly and effectively.

This is the reason why a foundation form is chosen.
It gives me satisfaction to have the privilege to be President of ITF Royal Dutch. Not only because, as in the past 40 years, I can continue to make my personal efforts for all the various pupils who practice our wonderful art Taekwon-Do, but also because I believe in an organization like ours and in the passion and commitment of the other board members and committee members.

I hope to meet many of you in the near future!

Taekwon, Sabum drs Hennie Thijssen Bc. M.A.
